Define Project Objectives

SBDA to provide interior design support to assist in the construction effort on a by project basis in a timely efficient manner.  Our mission is to collaborate with our clients bringing their project goals to life.

Design Programming

  • The interior planning and design of the areas of the project designated to include concept development, space planning, finish specification, selection of fixtures, furnishings, and equipment (FF&E) package.

    • Concept development 

      • Interior & exterior renderings

    • Space planning

    • Finish & fixture specification

    • Selection of furnishings, accents & decor

    • Millwork/ custom cabinetry design

    • Lighting: recommended reflected ceiling plan lighting design & custom designed decorative lighting fixtures

    • Custom furniture design

    • Pre-construction contractor coordination

Design Implementation

  • General consulting services and support throughout project evolution.

  • SBDA is able to assist with as much or as little assistance with the construction phase as the client is keen to engage.

  • Owners’ representation, project oversight, contractor coordination and support

Fees 

  • Initial project consultation = complimentary

    • This is a critical time of information gathering important to SBDA to get to know the client and their project.

    • From here a proposal is then written

  • Project design fee minimum $1500

  • Concept 

    • Applicable in hospitality, retail & some commercial project applications​

      • The greatest value in the design process is the experience and creativity of the interior designer.  The long term payback returns itself tenfold.  A skilled designer will also be able to afford project savings through vendor relationships far in excess of the concept development fee.

  • Flat fee by project for programming phase (option)*

    • Hours in excess of scope defined by SBDA billed hourly

  • Hourly fee applied beyond project minimum for programming phase (option)*

    • In some cases this scenario may not be an option

  • Once the client approves and signs their unique proposal and provides the associated deposit, SBDA will commence the project design process.
